Politics

How exciting it is to have so many strong, qualified, ethical women on the state ballot - even if only half of them end up elected, what an AWESOME Council of State we will have in NC!!
[for those out of the loop/state, we have the potential for a female: Governor, Auditor, Labor Commissioner, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Treasurer -- whoo hoo!!]
Oh, and while we're on the topic... a big shout-out to "women", without whom we wouldn't have an election - at least if my experience is the norm. It seems like poll-workers (selfless servants of democracy) are almost always AT LEAST 85% female. I'm just sayin'...

When I voted Saturday I picked my favorite "O" and then chose Governor. I was totally unfamiliar with anyone else and voted female all the way down! There was a Pat in there that wasn't female..oops.

Record turnout in our state :)
Can't wait for returns this evening. We've had a lot of visitors as of late! Exciting!

Wesley was very excited when we walked into the gym to vote this morning. He thought we were there for a basketball game ... little did he know that all he got to do was ride daddy's shoulder's while we voted.

I am excited about the results!! Whoot!

I'm just delighted that we actually mean something in the presidential race...despite the fact that it didn't go my way!
